Rhubee Neale:
Indigenous Australian singer-songwriter Rhubee Neale Originally from Alice Springs. Her people are; Arrernte, Kaytetye, Anmatyerr of Central Australia and also of Irish heritage.
Rhubee continues in the tradition of story telling through her music and art at various community events and festivals in Australia. Her greatest influence was her Sister Letty Scott mentor, role model, Mother and Friend who always encourage Rhubee to sing, paint and writer songs.
Rhubee describes herself as a passionate lyric writer and vocalist who plays a little guitar. A mother of four and soon to be Grandmother finds pleasure in meeting people, make new friends, singing, writing songs, painting and she enjoys a wide variety of music, art and dancing. As a survivor of DV and child abuse she has continue to move forward, being healed from her songs and music, she continues to be a positive role model to many of her Brothers and Sisters of mankind. She strives to try new positive actives, setting yearly goals. She live by her motto “It’s meant to be, it’s up to me”.
Rhubee Aspirations is to complete her Bachelor of Education at UTS, longs for the day that her song will be recorded and performed by Artists worldwide, write books, screen/ Stage plays and co write a musical incorporating her original materials, and to perform overseas.
Rhubee has been a resident of Sydney since 2003, prior to moving to Sydney worked in Education and Health throughout the Northern Territory under the names Sue Gibson and her previous married name Sue Ah Chee.
The Schools she attended Bradshaw, Gillen, ASHS, Ross Park and OLSH in Alice Springs. In Queensland she went to Sunset primary School, Kalkadoon and Bundaberg High schools’.
Rhubee band members are Ken Smith (well known on the folk scene) and nephew Nathan Scott, lead guitarist and didg player. At times Rhubee has performed with Krista Pav, Georgie kookaburra, Tim Higginbotham, Monique Dow (15) and her sister Letty Scott.
Rhubee co-wrote with her sister Letty Scott who recently passed away. She other co-writer include; Nathan Scott, Kenneth Smith, Zac Lambert, Betty (Dolly) Minniecon, Kelly Staines, Anna Tirotta, Tim Bishop, Jess Frazer, Caite Baldwin, Georgie (Kookaburra) Humes, Monique Dow, Rowena Lawrie and Tim Higginbotham, Jane E, Elizabeth Shepherd and Soraya Moseley.
In 2004 Sue Gibson took on the performers name Rhubee Neale which she has recently changed now she is officially and is now known as Rhubee Neale.
Rhubee Neale also actor one of her roles was Dusty in the short film: "Blind Date" written and directed by Rowena Lawrie. Mentor: Samantha Saunders. Blind Date was one of the short films of Lester Bostock Indigenous Mentorship 2007.

Travelled so far” single was produced and recorded by Tania Bowra. Performing as a member of the Block Harmony choir from Redfern Community Centre and recording her original with song
"Crystal Velvet Night" which was Co written with Kenneth Smith the song is track 12 on the Song Bird Called CD, Rhubee was inpiring for rhube to record and perform her song with the choir. Another highlight was meeting International songwriter Jason Blume, ASC Founder and Director Lisa Butler and many artists at the Australian Songwriters Conference at Woy,Woy NSW 2008.
Tribute to Rhubee Neale Sister Letty Scott
Rhubee Neale gives tribute to her amazing sister who was mother, sister, a wife and friend to many. She was dearly loved and respected. Letty will live on through her children, art, music and her fight for justice which has been widely documented. May you R.I.P Darling sister Letty.
