Beautiful Guitar - Josef D

Now I don’t want to start sounding cheeky and as if I am a grand marvel on music, after all this is only my third review, but Josef D has an imagination as big as his guitar playing repertoire.

Beautiful Guitar, the name can not give a more obvious sign of what will be traversing through the soundwaves when that play button gets pressed. It is one hour or beautiful guitar playing by Josef D, which is seven songs worth, and what he doesn’t have in album naming skills he makes up for on the guitar.
It takes only the first twenty or so seconds in the first song ‘Top of the Morning to Ya’ to realise Josef D is a man with fervour and flair for the guitar.
While the album has no vocals, no drums or anything else it rarely gets boring; Josef D leaves you sitting there, still as a statue with your ear as close to the speaker as possible, following every chord he plays. Even on his song ‘Echos from Within’ which goes for a startling 16 minutes and 24 seconds, leads one to sit there looking like a goose playing air guitar, trying to emulate the song.

As I said before, the entire album is Josef D on the guitar, so if you’re into the hard fast stuff, just forget this entire review. For those who want to bring their love interest over to their house for a nice, intimate, romantic dinner with candles and are stuck for background music, or for those who just want to lay back and listen to something a little different, look no further than Beautiful Guitar.
