Born in 2005. These four young men, heavily inspired by the hard rock of the past two decades, hit the live scene in 2007 being welcomed warmly by all those with a keen taste for classic rock n roll and beer.”

Since beginning their journey in 2007 as a garage band performing at parties and gatherings, to competing in the National Campus Band Competition in May (2007) and being selected as a Wildcard to headline the 20 Minute Of Fame band competition (2007), ALLOSTENE have relatively quickly made their mark on the unsuspecting Perth rock scene with their brand of pure unadulterated hard rock. 

As a relentless, hard working hard rock band does, ALLOSTENE has overcome insurmountable obstacles, played on every conceivable local multi bill, held down a residency (2008) and on June 20th 2009 realize the fruits of their labour in the much anticipated release of their debut EP "High Road."

ALLOSTENE began recording “High Road” in April 2008 at Bergerk Recording Studio with renown producer, Al "Dr Alien" Smith (past credits; include: Rhino Ted, Greenroom, Battletruk, The Dirty Secrets, Streetlight, Elora Danan…).

The EP has been mastered by Tony Mantz at Jack The Bear Deluxe Mastering Studios in Melbourne (Jimmy Barnes, Gyroscope, Eskimo Joe and Augie March et al.)

Leading up to the mastering stage, the Allostene boys said, “We're all very excited to hear what further magic he can milk out of our already explosive unmastered tracks.” - It would appear that the combination of Bergerk Recording Studios, Jack The Bear Deluxe Mastering Studios and ALLOSTENE has been the perfect combination for the “High Road” EP – Pure Hard Rock at it’s finest.

ALLOSTENE have picked up distribution with “Firestarter” to handle national distribution and marketing.

There is no stopping this band of unruly rock monsters who will settle for nothing less than world domination, but where ever they go, they will assuredly take their friends and fans with them.  The boys may conclude that they have ‘tarnished their reputation’ by hanging out their antics for all to see (see: ALLOSTENE Studio Sessions #1 link below), but for this writer who has watched these boys since they began crafting their skills in the Inspiration Room at The Greenehouse some years ago – ALLOSTENE is a group of fantastic humans who are nothing less than rough diamonds with a hard rock Zen and an inexhaustible amount of talent who are worth their weight in gold.

West Coast Boys Gone Wild? … could be the start of something.
